The primary maturation for this whisky has been in a short-filled, toasted New French Oak Cask from Tonnellerie Sylvain in Bordeaux, who specialise in the creation of high-end barrels for the luxury wine market.
This is the first time that Hobart Whisky has used Virgin oak for whisky maturation.
The whisky was then transferred to a 3rd fill Tennessee Whiskey (Jack Daniels Single Select) cask for a further 20 months.
